I'm presenting You my book "Amphibians and Reptiles of Europe". It has been written a few years ago and never published on a paper in Poland, because of lack of the photos of all described species. The book is based on original scientific articles and appreciate books. The information was carefully selected. The descriptions of species are arranged by the same schema: the geographical range of a species, habitat, mode of life, food, reproduction, subspecies's. I'm biologist. I specialized in ecology of amphibians.
I'm connected with Museum & Institute of Zoology (Polish Academy of Sciences) in Warsaw http://www.miiz.waw.pl.
I would like to stimulate interest of herpetology in Poland. Many species of amphibians, endangered in Western Europe are still common in our country. In spite of website is mainly in Polish language, I think that You can find some interesting information in it (dictionary of species' names, schemas, and the like). I 'm looking for the Publisher, who would like to publish this book in English language. I think that publishing market for publications in English is the biggest and even very good herpetological book in another language (in German - for example) are not adequately appreciate and known.
Systematic of amphibians and reptiles of Europe is still changing. I wrote my book in 1997, so now I have to little by little actualize information. Please, be patient.
